Serving Vernon & the Okanagan

Automotive Window Tint

in Vernon, BC

Premium film that cuts cabin heat, blocks UV and keeps your interior from fading through an Okanagan summer. Installed bubble-free at our Vernon shop.

K

What is window tint?

Film that takes the heat out of your cabin.

Automotive window tint is a thin film applied to the inside of your vehicle’s glass. It absorbs solar energy before it reaches the cabin, so the interior stays cooler and your air conditioning works less to keep it that way.

The film also blocks the vast majority of UV radiation, which is what cracks dashboards, fades upholstery and ages leather. On a vehicle parked outside through an Okanagan summer, that adds up quickly.

Beyond heat and UV, tint cuts glare on bright days and adds privacy to the back of the vehicle. We make sure whatever we install is road-legal in BC before we start.

K

Why people get it

What the film actually does.

Window tint goes on the inside of the glass, not sprayed or coated on. These are the six things it does.

Cooler cabin

The film absorbs solar heat before it reaches the inside of the vehicle.

UV protection

Quality film blocks the UV that cracks dashboards and fades upholstery.

Glare reduction

Low winter sun and bright afternoons stop being a problem.

Interior fade protection

Leather, trim and carpet keep their colour for far longer.

Added privacy

You decide how much of the back of the vehicle people can see into.

Bubble-free install

Film cut and heat-shrunk to the glass, with no creases or lifting edges.

K

Tint options

Tint the glass that matters to you.

BC restricts tint on the front side windows and most of the windshield, so most jobs start at the back.

Rear Windows

Rear side glass and the back windshield. The most common job, and fully legal.

01

Full Vehicle

Everything that is road legal, matched in shade across the whole vehicle.

02

Windshield Strip

A visor strip along the top of the windshield to cut low-sun glare.

03

Sunroof & Panoramic

Large glass roofs are a major heat source. Film makes a noticeable difference.

FAQ

Window tint, answered.

The questions we get asked most about automotive tint.

How dark can I legally tint my windows in BC?

British Columbia does not permit aftermarket tint on the front driver and passenger windows, and allows only a strip along the top of the windshield. Rear side windows and the rear windshield can be tinted. Rules do get updated, so we confirm what’s current before installing anything.

How long does window tint take to install?

Most vehicles are done in a single day. Larger vehicles, panoramic roofs, or removing old failing film will add time, and we’ll tell you when we quote.

How long before I can roll my windows down?

Usually a few days, longer in cold weather. The adhesive needs time to cure, and rolling the glass down early can lift an edge. We’ll give you a specific window at pickup.

Will tint stop my interior from fading?

It helps considerably. Quality automotive film blocks the large majority of UV radiation, which is the main cause of fading and cracking in dashboards, seats and trim.

How much does window tint cost in Vernon?

It depends on the number of windows, the shape of the vehicle and the film you choose. Removing old tint adds labour. Quotes are free — call with your make and model.
